What are "wholefoods"?

Simply put, "wholefoods" are foods closest to their origin that have been processed or refined as little as possible and are free from additives or other artificial substances.

Yep, you guessed it, that means you have to start from scratch rather than using pre-prepared, pre-seasoned, and pre-packaged convenience foods.

It also means that you have to switch from using food products such as grains, flours, oils, and sweeteners which are refined to those which are closer to their natural and not chemically treated.

Although some commercial supermarkets are starting to stock some of these foods in their produce section or health food isle, often these products are more expensive and some must be purchased at health food or specialty shops.

This means not only must you prioritise more time for shopping and preparing meals, but you must budget more in your financial planning.

Bottom line? You are what you eat. If you want quality health and vitality you need quality fuel, and quality fuel takes more time and money.
